Senior ServiceNow Developer

  • Remote, CET time zone

Authority Partners is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team and help build and evolve ServiceNow solutions for Customer Service Management and Workplace Service Delivery. In this role, you will develop scoped applications as code using the ServiceNow SDK, Git and the command line, and release them through the application repository with clear versioning across development, test and production.

If you enjoy clean, source-driven development and want to work on a platform used across the business, we would love to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain scoped applications as code with the ServiceNow SDK (ServiceNow Fluent and TypeScript), Git and the command line.
  • Publish versioned applications to the company application repository and install them through App Manager and Pipelines and Deployments across development, test and production.
  • Configure CSM and WSD with what ServiceNow ships first: accounts, contacts, cases, Workplace Case Management and decision tables. Add fields, tables or custom code only when the baseline cannot do the job.
  • Build integrations using REST with OAuth 2.0 (client credentials, Auth0 as the identity provider), IntegrationHub, Workflow Studio Data Stream actions with pagination, import sets with transform maps and the MID Server.
  • Keep configuration items aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), the CI class model and the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
  • Design ACLs and cross-scope privileges for scoped applications.
  • Support family upgrades, including the review of skipped records and revert-to-base decisions.
  • Test with the Automated Test Framework (ATF) and Instance Scan, validate the target instance before any data load and keep all testing out of production.

What You Bring

Required

  • 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development
  • Active Certified Application Developer (CAD) and Certified Implementation Specialist, Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM) certifications
  • Working knowledge of CSDM
  • Source-driven development with the ServiceNow SDK, Git and the command line, including building, packaging and installing an application from source
  • Releasing through the application repository with disciplined versioning, rather than moving scoped application code as update sets or XML
  • Hands-on CSM configuration: accounts, contacts and cases
  • Integrations with REST and OAuth 2.0, IntegrationHub, import sets and the MID Server
  • ACL design and cross-scope access in scoped applications
  • At least one ServiceNow family upgrade taken through to production, plus regular use of ATF and Instance Scan

Nice to have

  • WSD, including Workplace Case Management
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM): the Service Graph Connector pattern, Discovery and IP Address Management (IPAM) basics, Event Management and MetricBase
  • Now Assist: AI Agent Studio, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and client, and the Virtual Agent API
  • Next Experience UI: UI Builder, workspaces including Service Operations Workspace extensions, and Service Portal
  • CIS, Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM) certification
