Client Executive

  • Houston, Texas

Authority Partners is hiring a Client Executive for a dual-mandate role based in Houston. First, you'll own the relationship with one of our largest clients as primary account executive, protecting and growing the account, and staying close to delivery. Second, you'll bring a genuine hunter mindset to building out the wider Texas market: generating your own pipeline, opening new logos, and winning strategic opportunities.

This is a hybrid role, with 2–3 days per week on-site with the client, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Key responsibilities
Strategic account coverage
  • Serve as the primary account executive for one of AP's largest clients, headquartered in Houston — owning the relationship, protecting the account, and driving expansion and cross-sell.
  • Maintain a regular on-site presence with the client (2–3 days per week), building trust with stakeholders across their organization.
  • Partner closely with delivery to ensure client satisfaction, surface new opportunities, and resolve issues before they escalate.
New-business development (Houston / Texas)
  • Build out the Houston and wider Texas market — generating pipeline through proactive prospecting, outbound outreach, networking, and referrals.
  • Identify and win new business in the technology consulting and custom software development market.
  • Run the full sales cycle: qualification, discovery, solutioning, proposal, negotiation, and close.
Across both
  • Collaborate with delivery and solution teams to shape offerings that fit client needs.
  • Stay current on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging client priorities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare account-status updates and quarterly forecasts.

What success looks like
  • Quota — Carry an aggressive first-year bookings target, combining growth of an established key account with net-new business development across the Texas market.
  • Pipeline — Consistently build and maintain a healthy, qualified pipeline at a strong multiple of quota to ensure predictable, sustainable attainment.
  • Account — Become the trusted primary point of contact for a key Houston client, driving a growing, healthy account with a clear expansion roadmap.

What we are looking for
Required
  • 7+ years of B2B sales/business development in IT services, technology consulting, or custom software development.
  • Demonstrable track record of both new-logo acquisition and growing strategic accounts, while consistently meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Experience selling and expanding complex, solution-based services with multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
  • AI-fluent, with hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance sales productivity and workflows.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Based in the Houston area and eligible to work in the US.
Preferred
  • Experience selling nearshore/offshore or blended delivery models.
  • An established network in the Software Development industry.
  • Familiarity with a modern sales methodology (e.g., consultative / value-based selling).

What we offer
  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission (OTE)
  • Highly competitive, deal-based commission structure rewarding performance on all closed business
  • Comprehensive benefits package and flexible work model
  • Direct line to the CRO, with a clear path to grow alongside a scaling US business
