We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong skills in Python (FastAPI framework), React (frontend) and AI Native to join our team, who is equally comfortable building production Python backends and React frontends as they are designing intelligent AI workflows. You will take full ownership of features end to end — from API design to UI delivery. This is a role for engineers who build with AI, not just alongside it.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, asynchronous RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI, including data modeling and integration with SQL databases.
• Frontend Development: Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React, taking features from component design through to production deployment.
• Claude & AI Workflow Engineering: Use Claude Code and Anthropic's API to design and implement AI-powered workflows — including multi-step reasoning, tool use, and automated pipelines that go beyond simple prompt-response patterns.
• Agentic Systems: Build and maintain Claude-based agents that can plan, use tools, and execute complex tasks with minimal human intervention, leveraging Anthropic's tool use and function calling capabilities.
• Prompt Engineering: Design structured, maintainable prompt systems — including system prompts, few-shot examples, and output schemas — and iterate based on real-world performance.
• Feature Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of features from requirement through delivery, collaborating closely with the Product Owner to clarify and challenge requirements.
• Code Quality: Uphold high standards through clean coding practices, thorough testing, and constructive code reviews.
• Agile Participation: Contribute actively to sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile/Scrum team.

Technical Requirements

• Python: Strong experience in Python backend development with FastAPI, including asynchronous programming (asyncio) and building production-grade APIs.
• React: Strong experience in React frontend development, including hooks, state management, and REST API integration.
• Claude & Anthropic API: Hands-on experience building with Claude via Anthropic's API — including messages API, tool use, system prompt design, and streaming responses.
• Claude Code: Practical experience using Claude Code as a development tool to accelerate backend and frontend delivery, not just for autocomplete but for agentic, multi-file workflows.
• AI Workflow Design: Demonstrated ability to design multi-step AI workflows — chaining Claude calls, managing state between steps, and handling errors gracefully in production.
• SQL Databases: Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL for data storage, schema design, and query optimization.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Communication: Strong ability to work with both technical teammates and non-technical stakeholders to deliver the right solution.

Education:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field
