We are looking for a Support Engineer to join our Production Support team, responsible for maintaining and supporting multiple enterprise applications hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability in a production environment.
While the position does not involve active feature development, a solid understanding of modern development practices and the ability to navigate and analyze codebases (primarily .NET and Angular) is essential for effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Maintenance
- Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications built on .NET and Angular technologies
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, service requests, and defects within defined SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to long-term solutions
- Work with tools such as ServiceNow (SNOW) and JIRA to manage incidents, problems, and change requests
- Support deployments, hotfixes, and release activities when required
Application Analysis & Improvements
- Analyze backend and frontend codebases to identify issues and support resolution efforts
- Collaborate with development teams on fixes and improvements when deeper code changes are required
- Assist with minor enhancements, configuration updates, or fixes when appropriate
- Review and optimize SQL queries and support database-related investigations
DevOps, Monitoring & Cloud
- Monitor application health using tools such as Azure Application Insights
- Support CI/CD processes and collaborate with DevOps teams
- Assist in managing containerized applications (Docker) and cloud-based deployments on Microsoft Azure
- Work with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Service Bus
- Help ensure availability, reliability, and performance of production systems
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with QA, Development, DevOps, Product, and Business teams
- Participate in on-call rotations and support production releases as needed
- Document incidents, resolutions, and support procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and system stability
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of .NET / ASP.NET Core and Web APIs (ability to read and analyze code)
- Familiarity with Angular applications and modern frontend concepts (e.g., state management frameworks like NgRx)
- Experience with SQL Server and ability to investigate database-related issues
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and familiarity with core services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and messaging services (e.g., Service Bus)
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments is a plus
- Experience with Git for source control
- Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Application Insights or similar
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a production support environment
- Good communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage incidents in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting enterprise or high-availability systems
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Understanding of security and performance best practices
- Experience working in Agile environments
