Business Analyst

Sarajevo (hybrid), or remote within Bosnia and Herzegovina
Authority Partners is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to drive the evolution of all digital onboarding journeys across the company. This is not a standalone initiative — onboarding is the entry point to a broader, connected ecosystem that includes payments, user management, profile configuration, group access, and more.

You will act as the analytical lead in a cross-functional squad, working closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data to ensure seamless, scalable, and high-converting flows. In addition to onboarding, you’ll contribute to related projects that improve the overall user lifecycle and digital experience.

This role requires someone with a strong understanding of complex user journeys and the ability to translate insights and needs into structured, executable solutions across interconnected systems.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead discovery and documentation for digital onboarding initiatives across web and app
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize requirements from multiple stakeholders and customer insights
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
  • Map current and future-state onboarding journeys with a focus on reducing friction and drop-off
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to ensure clarity and alignment from scope to delivery
  • Facilitate workshops, reviews, and alignment sessions across multiple teams
  • Monitor onboarding metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst in digital or product-focused environments
  • Proven experience working with onboarding, sign-up, or customer activation journeys
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in agile squads
  • Skilled in process mapping, backlog grooming, and stakeholder facilitation
  • Ability to work with data and insights to inform requirements and prioritization
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (clear, concise, actionable)
  • Experience in hospitality, booking, e-commerce, travel, or marketplaces is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – You adjust your communication and working style to suit a wide range of stakeholders. 
  • Previous experience in platforms involving bookings, reservations, scheduling, or real-time availability management.
  • Background in proptech, travel, airlines, hospitality, or marketplace products.
  • Experience in mobile-first platforms, especially those involving bookings, scheduling or memberships.
  • Experience with global/multi-language onboarding experiences
  • Understanding of experimentation (A/B testing) and its role in product development
  • Exposure to customer research methods and journey analytics
  • Background working in complex, multi-brand digital ecosystems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Software Engineering, or Computer Science would be of great value, but if you’re passionate and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent outweighs degree every time.
