We are looking for Scrum Masters to join our growing team! As a Scrum Master you will facilitate Agile development teams in accordance with Agile principles and ensure the teams ‘live’ by Agile values and principles and follow processes and practices. Your main duties will include managing timelines to achieve the Sprint goal, resolving problems, and coaching team members on Agile methodologies and processes.
What you will do:
- Remove blockers or impediments that hinder teams’ progress
- Plan deliverables and ensure they are up to quality standards at the end of each Sprint
- Help teams monitor performance and implement improvements
- Promote and lead continuous communication
- Facilitate team process and coordinate sprints, as well as all Scrum ceremonies
- Ensure the team has enough prioritized and estimated (in terms of effort) Project Backlog items in time for Sprint planning
- Manage teams’ scope and timelines by tracking and maintaining Sprint Backlog progress
- Ensure time tracking of effort spent is done correctly and before deadlines
- All team-level reporting to engineering teams, company management, and the client (as needed/applicable)
- Remove all obstacles for maximum engineering team productivity (communication, environment, etc.)
- Coach teams on Agile framework and processes, and guide them towards true Scrum maturity
- Help teams implement changes effectively
- Help build a productive environment that team members enjoy working in
- Participate in Scrum Master Pool activities, especially by sharing tips and tricks (and potentially mentoring) junior colleagues
What you have:
- 3+ years of experience in the Scrum Master role (additional plus if it is focused on digital products)
- Experience working in complex, multi-project, multi-vendor, and multi-team environments (additional plus if the environment is international)
- Experience with JIRA and/or Azure DevOps/TFS
- Advanced analytical skills
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
- Great collaboration skills, and ability to coach teams to reach their highest potential
- Interest in and understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and practices
- Interest in and understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Outstanding organizational and self-management skills
- Assertiveness and an outgoing demeanor
- Creativity, resourcefulness, and an innovative approach to tackling complex challenges and resolving problems
Extra points:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
- Experience with agile coaching and/or process improvement
Education:
A degree in a technical field is definitely a plus, but not a requirement.
